It was soooo cold. It sucked. I tried to keep Madelyn wrapped up, but she wouldn't have it. It was also nap time. This is how she fell asleep.
We have so much going on. We have Awana on Mondays, soccer on Mondays and Wednesdays, wrestling on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So much fun! lol We have two more weeks/weekends of wrestling. Do you think that on Mondays it's ok to make him sandwiches for dinner? Would I be a bad Mama? lol He goes from school to Awana and then soccer. I made dinner on Monday, even did crock pot dinner, because I thought it would be easier, but not so much. Do you have any ideas? That's when Madelyn is her crankiest, so with running around and trying to cook dinner, not so fun. So, if you have any ideas, I would love it if you could share. =) Please and thank you!
Sandwiches are totally appropriate! Nothing wrong with that at all. Soup is a good one too. What about mini pizzas made with english muffins served with cut up carrots and celery. Super easy. How about tuna salad in a tomato? Buy frozen, already grilled chicken strips and make chicken quesadillas? Just thaw out the chicken you'll need in the morning and then put it in a tortilla with cheese and salsa and heat in microwave. I remember those super busy days when my kids were small. Wears me out just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteOh how I remember those days. My girls, Gennifer and Erika, were 6 & 8 when we had our son Drew. So they were well into their activities by then. Drew literally grew up being drug from event to event, in a stroller taking naps, and wrapped up in a gazillion blankets like that because the softball fields were so cold!!!! There was many a night we had grilled cheese and canned soup for dinner!!! NOT to worry my dear, they will grow up just fine! Sandwiches are good food!!!! Make it easy on yourself.

Busy lady!!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is playing soccer too & we just about froze to death at her practice yesterday. I sure wish Spring would hurry
ReplyDeleteOh boy. You sound BUSY. Like my Mom said, sandwhiches are just fine! One of my faves as a kid was pb with banana slices and honey. Just wrap those in foil and throw it to him in the car. He will be just fine. It's hard to be on the go so much. Hang in there.
